Top-Earning Dead Celebrities


Last year, ELIZABETH TAYLOR made her debut on the list of the Top-Earning Dead Celebrities. She tied with JOHN LENNON for fifth place, while MICHAEL JACKSON took the top spot.

But this year, Liz jumped all the way to #1, bumping Michael to #2. Liz made $210 million over the past year, to Michael's $145 million. Here's the Top 13 . . .

#3.) Elvis Presley, $55 million

#4.) "Peanuts" creator Charles Schulz, $37 million

#5.) Bob Marley, $17 million

#6.) John Lennon, $12 million

#7.) (tie) Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein, $10 million

#9.) Dr. Seuss, $9 million

#10.) (tie) Steve McQueen and pinup queen Bettie Page, $8 million

#12.) Songwriter Richard Rodgers, $6 million . . . of Rodgers & Hammerstein, but this focuses on his solo work, which includes the '60s smash "Blue Moon".
